Kuwohi Panoramic (formerly Clingman’s Dome)

Kuwohi Panoramic (formerly Clingman’s Dome): This panoramic image shows a classic view of blue-colored Appalachian Mountains from Kuwohi in Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Formerly called Clingman’s Dome, Kuwohi is the highest point in Tennessee, the Appalachians, and along the entire Appalachian Trail. The name change was made in 2024 to honor the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, who originally named the mountain Kuwohi, translated “mulberry place.” If you’ve stood here you know the feeling. It’s a special place.
