Icy Blue Tree Line

Icy Blue Tree Line: Freezing rain is made entirely of liquid rain drops. They are cooled as they pass through a freezing layer of the atmosphere but still liquid when they reach the earth. They then freeze as soon as they land on a surface. The ice, late-day light, and long shadows turned this otherwise boring tree line into a spectacle of characters.
