Magnificence (Oak Tree Winter Scene)

Magnificence (Oak Tree Winter Scene): A massive, 300-year old open grown oak stands firm through a snow storm. In a forest setting, this oak would have grown to a similar height but much narrower due to competition with its neighbors. In this open field, it was able to spread out horizontally, reaching its limbs as wide as physically possible to gather as much sunlight as it could. In ordinary conditions, it is easy to drive right by this scene without even noticing the oak as it gets lost in the trees behind it. The seemingly ordinary can become truly majestic when the setting suits.
