After hiking out a high ridge trail a couple miles for the sunset I started to make my way back via headlamp. This silhouetted post-sunset scene was captured on the return trip. I couldn’t have hand-placed the smaller pine much better for a nice “frame within a frame.” The sliver of a crescent moon was the cherry on top. Red River Gorge Geological Area, Kentucky.
