Robberfly: Robberflies, also known as assassin flies, are predatory little critters, mainly feasting on other insects. They immobilize their prey by piercing and injecting neurotoxins with their mouth parts. The injected concoction also includes enzymes that liquify the insect’s internal tissues which the robberfly promptly drinks up. Fascinating.
