Rock House. This impressive recess cave is 25 feet tall and wide, 200 feet long, and lit by a series of windows that were formed by water exiting the recess. It is situated halfway up a 150-foot tall Blackhand sandstone cliff in the Hocking Hills region of Ohio. The cave was used by Native Americans who used recesses for baking and hollows in the floor for water storage. It was also reportedly used as a hideaway by various riffraff including horse thieves and bootleggers.
